PERM in audit and H1B 6 years expired - running US Payroll

Hi,

My PERM was filed in Jan 2014 and my 6 years H1B including recaptured time expired in Aug 2014. I just came to know that my PERM has been selected for audit. Currently I am outside US on a vacation to my home country. Are there any options for me to still continue working and run my US Payroll from outside US? Can I work from India or Canada remotely and still get my US salary until 365 days of PERM application and then return back on H1 extension to US? Also, how will this affect my W2 and taxes. Are there any restrictions to my working from outside US in this situation?

My husband is in same situation, but he is short only by 2 months to get the 365 days of perm . Can he travel out and work from India for 2 months to recapture the days for H1 extn in case if his labor is not apporved on time? Will that cause any problem to the perm filed?
