  • Small error in PERM form ETA 9089: grounds for denial?

My employer/lawyer filed my PERM application in December 2014. I only recently noticed that the postal code for the address under section H (where work will be performed) is off by one ('0' instead of '1' for the 5th digit of the zip code). The correct postal code is listed in sections C, D, and K.

It really is a minor error and *practically* does not make a difference in sending mail etc. However, with DOL being extremely picky, would this be considered grounds for denial of the PERM? If so, what is an appropriate course of action?

Unfortunately, yes. It is grounds for denial.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

Thanks for your response. What's the source of your information? Did you read it on some guidance document, or experience applications being denied outright for the same reason? I know that address changes can be accommodated in the I-140 stage, so just wondering why a PERM with this kind of typo would be denied outright.

FYI, my PERM was approved this week without any issues.
