I am a physician on J1 with tow year home restriction, I started a waiver job and PERM processe is in progress. My question is can I apply also to NIW for scientists/ researches? The reason is I want to be the sponsor for my GC, so don't have to spend an extra year in underserved area to get my GC by the current employer.
