Hi,
Can anyone please help me on this..
I am currently in H1B and my company started processing GC in EB3 category. I will complete 6 years in H1B in 4 months and with current pace they will take another 4 - 5 months to file PERM. Since I got promoted to Manager last year, company suggested to convert H1B to L1A so that we will get another 12 months (not eligible for EB1 as I got promoted within US).
Anyone please tell me
1. If my I-140 is approved before I complete 7 years in L1A, will my visa automatically changed to H1B and I can extended till I get GC?
2. Will H1B to L1A conversion have any impact on PERM/I-140 approvals? is it better to go out of US before current H1B expires and come back after I-140 approved and H1B extended?
Thanks,
John
