My employer began the process for labor certification[perm] and our company's attorney applied for 'prevailing wage determination'. PWD was processed and it came back with a severely low wage[ 50% less than the prevailing wage number of my h1b labor certification ]. Attorney said even though it is a shockingly low number but it should be ok to proceed with the next step.
I'm concerned as to what should be the right thing to do in the given circumstances. It looks like there might be an error from DOL's end as the salary mentioned in PWD is significantly low for the job title I hold.
Should the prevailing wage need to be re-determined or is it ok to proceed to the next step?
I would highly appreciate if somebody can help me with this.
Thank you!
