Promotion while perm is pending

My perm was filed in April this year.I was a senior software engineer that time.Now in first week of August I might get promoted to next level (i.e master software engineer). i want to know :-

1) Implications of this on the pending perm.
2) what are the options i have (Can the pending perm be allow to continue , file i140 and then file a new perm with new title and maintain PD)

my 5th year ending date is Nov this year.

typically you will be fine if your responsibilities are 50% or more the same as the applied job responsibities
