Urgent Travel situation to India, Please help and answer
Hi, This is Sam. Bleow is case. Please take some time to read.
I came to US through an employer on H1 on Feb 2015 (This H1 was valid till Jul 6th 2017). I transferred it to another company on May 2016 (This H1 is now valid till Jan 30th 2019).
By Jan 30th 2019, my 6 years on H1 is getting over. After transferring to new employer I did not go to India. Now my current employer filed my LC (Filed in the month of Sep 2017). There is no updates on my LC filed.
Now my project is getting over by Nov 24th 2017. My client is ready to take me back to the project after 6 months (as per 6 months cooling period for the contractors). So it will be on May 24th 2018.
Please advise me whether it is okay to travel to India for this 6 months and get my H1 stamped for the new employer with US consulate when I come back by May 2018. So that I can use those not utilized 6 months on my H1 as well.
Kindly let me know whether it will affect my LC/PERM and the GC process.
