Job Description Change - Need to reapply???

Hi,

My Job description might be changing shortly. The tools I'd be using and my primary roles are basically changing with my position.

Would this mean that my GC application needs to be re-filed with a new priority date?

Please advise. My boss and the dept that handles GC in my company seem to think so.
