LC Case Closure
Hi!! Friends,
I will appreciate you folks answering my query.
My company filed my 45 day continuation letter on time. After 2 months INS sends a letter stating that the 45 day letter was not timely filed and thus the case is closed and that we can appeal to re-open the case.
The lawyers have all the proof showing that the 45 day continuation letter was correctly and timely filed and has requested the INS to re-open my case. I have also seen all this correspondance sent to INS by my lawyer.
My lawyer says that the INS have closed a lot of cases in error and that it will not be difficult to re-open my case.
It is almost 2 months since reqest for re-opening my case has been sent.
My only concern is how long is the wait period to re-open cases closed in error by INS.
