Green Card EB2/EB3??

Hi,
I'm a doctor looking for some one to sponsor my H1 to Green card. I don't know if I will be in EB2 or EB3.

I'm from India. I wanted to know the wait period if I were to apply for green card (EB2/EB3) in early 2007.

When do we get the priority date is it after applying for LC or i140 and how long do we have to wait before filing for i485 considering my nationality.

Is there something like a backlog now for indians? or something called retrogression?

If anybody can give an input, I will be grateful.

Currently the wait time to file 485 is 5 years for EB3 and 4 years for EB2. The 485 stage itself could be anywhere from 1-2 years. The LC comes first which would take approx 6 months. So if you apply in 2007 under EB3, you could probably get your green card by 2015.
