Need to substitute an approved LC

Hi there,

I have 2 approved LC, one with PD of Jan 2004 and another (PERM) on Jan 2006. I also have a I-140 approved linked to the 2006 LC. Now my first PD has past which means I can submit I-485, but because my I-140 is linked to my 2006 LC, I would like to know if there is a way to substitute my 2006 LC with the 2004 LC. I understand that I will have to submit a new I-140 linked to the 2004 LC. Please let me know if I am correct on this.
