  • Technical skills for EB2

    Hi,

My employer is going to file Labor Certificate for me in EB2 category. My lawyer told me to prepare a draft with my technical skills and the technical skills should be some kind of unique. So that, when my employer place an advertisement in a publication to attract qualified US workers for the job, they will get minimum response from them.

So, If someone have any sample copy of that or any suggestion please give me that. Your idea will help me lot.

I am Java/J2EE developer and have over 5 years experience as a programmer.

I have experience on the following technologies

    Platform: Linux, Sun Solaris, Windows
Languages: Java (J2SE, J2EE), SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Script
    Databases: Oracle (8x, 9i and 10g), MySQL
Web Server: Tomcat, BEA WebLogic Server
Web: JSP, PHP, FreeMarker, DOM4J, Ajax, XML, HTML, JavaScript
Frameworks: Jakarta Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Acegi Security System, Direct Web Remotion (DWR) for Ajax, iBatis SQL Map,
    SiteMesh for web-page decoration.
Tools and Utilities: Ant, Log4J, Jakarta FOP, Jakarta POI, DOM4J, Xdoclets, JProfiler, JasperReports, iReport, TOra & Toad for Oracle, OEM (Oracle Enterprise Mgr).
    Version Control Tools: CVS, Arch/TLA
    Bug Tracking System: JIRA, PhpBt
    Testing Tool: JUnit, HttpUnit
IDE/ Editor: IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Net Beans IDE, JBuilder, Emacs, VI/VIM, Tora & TOad for Oracle.

For programmer jobs there is a pre set of qualification and job description. There are indicative job descriptions available DOL job web site. If you put more unique, your LC amy be get rejected.

You must understand one thing, a seasoned programmer with basic programming skill and knowlede learn any other language or skill with in very short time. Just writing few commercial technica name will not dis qualify other programmers. (Guy who learned Gupta SQL, ingress, informix a decade ago may not take a week to learn Oracle SQL. Smilarly tools are just tools, it may not give qualification just using them. Programmers suppose to learn "ANY" tool in their profession to use them).
