PERM approved.. What next? and timelimit ?

I got my PERM approved last month.. I believe my next step should be I-140. My question is how much time do I have to file I-140 ? The problem is I am now out of country (on business trip) for about 4 months. Should I wait (to come back to US) or can I file for I-140 now only (from outside US)?

I-140 is filed by employer so it does not matter if you are in the country or not. In fact if they hire you from abroad you could be residing abroad till your GC is approved.

Only if you try to adjust to GC froma non-immigrant status by filing I-485 that you are physically required to be in USA at the time of filing.
