Can move to different loc/state after LC?

Hello,

My Labor cert is completed and my I-140 & I-485 are pending at the moment.

My question is Can I move to a different state or location of my current employer before my I-140 gets approved. I do not intend to change employers.

Depends on how your ETA9089 was filed. If the attorneys were intelligent enough, in addition to your job requirements, they would have added Relocation/Travel might be required which will provide you an opportunity to move. Check with your attorney if your labor was filed that way and if you can move. They can answer the question properly.

Thank you for the response. My LC was not filed with the additional requirement you mentioned.

Does this mean that I cannot move, even though working for the same company, till my 140 is approved?

To be safe yes.

But as it is a lateral move in the same company, your I140 is safe and if the job profile is same, you can claim the move under AC21 if it comes to that and your 485 was pending for more than 180 days.
