can you leave your employer for labor certi. period

I was wondering if you can leave the employer after applying for labor certification and stay out of the country until the labor certification is approved.
Appreciate an answer.

You certainly may. Unlike an H-1 or L-1 visa, green cards are based on a future job offer.

It would be possible to stay out of the country throughout the entire process, and only come in after it's been approved, as long as you come to work with the company that sponsored you.
