Starting Green Card while H1B transfer

Hi,

If I have an offer from a company and my H1B transfer is under process (received receipt but waiting for actual transfer papers to arrive) can I start my Green Card process or do I have to wait till I get my H1B transfer papers in hand to file for Labor for Green Card ?

You can start green card anytime as GC is for future job.
