  • GC/Job change

    Hi,

I am currently working in NJ for 3 years. I have a Master's degree. My GC process was started early
this year and right now the Labor certification is in
progress. They have finished the recruiting activities and preparing to file the summary to DOL.

    My questions are:
    1. I have an offer in NY/Upstate and I am interested to switch. what is going to happen? Will I lose a lot of time? Can I get the GC in 3 years?

    2. Also, what if i have an offer in Vermont? Is the location a factor in the speed of the Green Card process?

I am really looking forward to hear from the experts here for some directions.

    Thanks

1 NY LC RIR will take: SESA 6-8 months + 1 month DOL+ Document collection for I-140 arund 1 month and filling of I-140 VSC + VSC approval for I-140 , 6 to 8 months You Can Count it, As you have Masters you will be EB 2[ if your LC requires MS] IF you file your LC REGULAR nobody knows how much time it will take..
2 Vermont is faster for LC but I-140 same time.
