IMMIHELP,
The local SESA forwarded my application to the DOL a few weeks ago. I checked the DOL status line and unfortunately obtained a response indicating that "this file could not be located.". Then I called the DOL and was told that the automated system was updated over the weekend and that all files had been loaded (regardless of their status). I don't know if the case numbers are manually inputed, but if so there could have been a typo.
According to the DOL person, I could fax a formal request for a status update on my file but the process could be significantly delayed. Then again if I don't and the file didn't make for some reason to the DOL... I could wait forever.
In your experience what is advisable? Have you heard of similar cases? Perhaps I should wait... but how long?
Thanks for your assistance.
