Last I heard from the attorney's office is that they have received an approval on 01/23/09 for a case that was filed on 08/07/07 where an Audit was issued.

And mentioned that it was good news since they had not received any approvals for a couple of weeks.

          Good Luck everyone!
          Hi,
My case is similar to smthambi too...
          Eb2 filed on 12/17/2007
          Audit replied in Mid-jan 2008
          no replies still...

My employer just checked the status, it says its in process...
Does anybody have any pointers so as where/whom can we address our grievances to?

          Thanks in advance...

                waiting with lots of hope

                my priority date is Dec-08.
Although i have not received an answer, it is my daily prayer and I am full of hope.
Friends who filled in Oct-08 have received their approvals in the last 2-3 months.
My lawyer also confirmed they have received approval for processes filed up through Nov-08
I can feel it really close and I hope this note gives all of you hope.
May God's will be done! Stay hopeful.. GM

Guys, I'm a new PERM candidate and really confused about "When is the PERM" filed. I have read the documentation on this website.

                    Step:

1.) Company makes effort to recruit US citizens.
2.) Files with State Employment Agency(SEA) that no US Citizen is available.
3.) SEA reviews and gives 30 days to the employer to report jobs, ads etc.
4.) Company sends report to SEA that no US citizen is available.

When is the PERM filed - in Step 2 or after Step 4

My wife was filing PERM to Atlanta center on May 09 under EB2. I am concerned with 2 things.
                      1) The lawyer was optimistic before filing. We were told it usually takes 90 days to get approval.
                      2) 2 month after (July 09) lawyer told us the processing looks completely frozen and his clients filing on Dec 08 did not get response yet.
Does that mean "90 days" is not an accurate estimation, also people filing before Dec 08 most likely got response /approval already?

I applied 12/2008, EB2. As of today 8/26/09, no answer yet.
I spoke with my lawyer, he said is taking about 10 months.

                            PERM process for California Employees

Guys my Employer recently filed PERM on August o4. I'm based in California and want to know that which processing center will handle California employees cases.

Also, I need a further clarification, I'm currently in the end of 5 years of my H1-Visa, though my employer filed on 08-04-09, I have a feeling that I would not continue at the same place because of the current economic situation. Is it true that we need to have our PERM filed within 365 days of Visa or this clause applies for 7th year extension.

                                perm question

My friend has submitted the application July 09 and her lawyer told her that she was advanced to the third step in the process of PERM after passing steps of prevailing wage and recruitment, since her employer has already dealt with 45 days notice (from the department to employer for making sure if an applicant continues to proceed the application). I am confused - are there three steps in PERM, which are steps of prevailing wage, recruitment, and online application, or another three steps in the online application after prevailing wage and recruitment? I had these info from my friend, but may be misunderstanding something? If you could correct my confusion with even a brief message, I will be greatly appreciated. Also, someone could tell me about the 45 days notice, what the concept exactly mean and it happens to every applicant? Thank you for your time in advance.
