PERM ETA 9089 Application - signature- I140

My employer told that ETA9089 got approved. They did not ask for my signature before filling the ETA 9089 form, all I filled the information in electronic copy(ETA 9089)

Now, I asked them to apply for I-140 . They collected previous employer experience letters ,tax returns etc from me to file the I-140 form. Also, they asked me to sign on ETA 9089 form this time, this is the same copy of electronic document I filled long time back.

Why my employer asked the signature now while applying for I140 ? Does it means, whether I got my PERM approved or are they going to apply PERM application now ?

Signature on PERM happens after the approval and not at the time of application. Employer is doing it right and you can quit worrying.
