Hello,
this is my situation:
- I did an MBA in the States, completed in 2006
- In 2007 I got an H1B which I used to work and live in the States for about 5 years.
- I left the States in 2013 and since then I have been working in the UK.
I would have these questions:
1) Can I still use the 1 year left under the H1B issued in 2007 to get a green card through the PERM? I don't know the H1B expires.
2) and if 1) is possible, can a US based business sponsor me for the green card through PERM while at the same time I continue to live and work in the UK for a different company? Basically the US-based business would start the application and complete all the process while I continue to live here in the UK. I would then quit my current job and move to the US to work for them only after I get the green card.
I would greatly appreciate any comments on the above.
