H1B filed in Master's quota applying for GC in EB2?

My H1B visa got approved in 2008 under Master's Quota.I am with the same company for the last 2 years.Now I am planning to apply for my GC.

Because my H1B was approved in Master's Quota - does it mean I can file for GC under EB2?

Any pointers would help.

Yes to an extent.

It is all based on the requirements being mentioned Job Posting such as Master's Degree and minimum experience (0months to 3+yrs) and that you are identified as the qualified alien for that position.

Your qualification is secondary when it comes to EB2. The job should require a Masters degree to qualify. Furthermore, the fact that your H1b was under the MS category doesn't have much to do here as the ads and candidate screening has to happen again.
