  • For France visitor visa, will my employer's medical insurance suffice?

Hi, I am an Indian national and live in the US. I will be visiting France in September and from the consulate's website, I gathered that they require a proof of medical insurance. I've medical insurance through my employer which covers medical emergencies outside of US and i will be getting a letter stating my coverage limits including out-of-network coverages. Is this sufficient to show to the visa officer during my interview or do I need to purchase a separate traveller's insurance.
    Thanks in advance.

That insurance is not enough, because in additional to medical expenses, Schengen visa requirements also ask to cover emergency medical evacuation and repatriation of remains that domestic US insurance companies don't cover.

You can read about Schengen visa insurance requirements at https://www.insubuy.com/schengen-insurance/

You can purchase any of the plans listed at https://www.insubuy.com/schengen-visa-insurance/ and all of them meet all the requirements of Schengen visa.

Around 15 minutes after the purchase, you can download a visa letter from https://www.insubuy.com/clients/ and present it to the consulate/embassy.
    Thanks & Regards
