I am a 55 year old healthy US Citizen traveling to Germany (and visiting several other European cities). My son lives in Hohenfels,Bavaria, Germany and is serving with the US Army. I am taking one of his daughters to spend the summer with him before he leaves for Afghanistan. I need to purchase whatever health insurance is required so that I may be legal in my travels. I will depart Orlando, FL, USA on 10JUN2010 arriving In Amsterdam on 11JUN2010 to change planes for Nuremburg, Germany. I will be staying at my son's home in Hohenfels, Germany. I will depart Nuremburg, Germany for Amsterdam to change planes back to Orlando, FL, USA on 04JUL2010. I am healthy and have my own prescriptions which I will be bringing with me and anticipate no need for any medical care while there, however I understand Germany and other EU countires have health insurance requirements for tourists that I must meet. Please send me some low cost quotes for the periods of my stay and be sure they are acceptable in Germany, France, Czech Republic, Italy, and Switzerland as I plan to spend a few 2-3 day trips to their capital cities while in the neighborhood. I have American health insurance but it provides no coverage outside the USA and I have no desire to change it or buy different American insurance, only ctourist travel coverage for the 23-24 days in Europe.
