Hallo friend,

it is not guarantee that they will answer before the travel date. My travel date was 3rd of July which already passed and still waiting for their response.

When did u apply for your visa ? Legally they have to reply to you in 60 days.

Any update on your visa application? I am in the same boat , I applied through vfs delhi on the 10th of june and still not got any reply, all it says its gone to the ministry for further assessment.

My dear friend, my honest suggest is to wait, as your application date is about to reach for 1 month. to apply at another embessey, you would need to withdraw your application here and it would not be guarantee that another embessey will grant quickly specially if it's first time application. also every application takes different time like and max to 60 days.

I applied visa for short term family/friend visit visa.

longest stay time is issue

Visa - Business, Duration = 90 days for KT purpose. Also my Employer has filed Work Permit application for the same period from Belgium.

whenever they see the 90 days they have problem i presume

Applied for a tourist visa short term. Duration of stay was from 3-21 July with belgium having majority of the days.

I'll explain what happened with me. So My wife and I had applied for a tourist visa on 16th of May. Our purpose was to spend 2 days in Amsterdam then 5 days in belgium to attend a festival and another 4 days in Spain. We both are first time schengen area travellers but we both have multiple entry US visa's and other travels on our passports, so we were very confident of getting Schengen. We both have enough income, saving, fully paid hotel accommodations plus festive tickets to show, so we never thought we would be in this situation.
Now, my dilemma is that my flight is on the 14th of July and their 60 days limit end on 15th, also they have retuned my passports saying they will call for it when they get a reply from belgium. I'm in a risk of losing a lot of money if I don't get the visa in time, Which I have communicated to their belgium office and the New Delhi embassy several times. Now for days no one gave me a proper reply from the embassy or from belgium, they just asked me to wait. Today finally when I called the embassy they said that we have your travel dates and a reply will come soon, also the belgium office said that they will send a reminder. What I feel is that their server has randomly picked application or found few documents out of order and sent them to belgium.

My dear friend, my honest suggest is to wait, as your application date is about to reach for 1 month. to apply at another embessey, you would need to withdraw your application here and it would not be guarantee that another embessey will grant quickly specially if it's first time application. also every application takes different time like and max to 60 days.

I also want to give few suggestions out of my experience.
Once you have applied for a schengen visa, all schengen countries know about the status of ur application, whether it's withdrawn, pending, rejected or u have reapplied. So if you you are not in a hurry to travel then I suggest that you should wait for a reply from them. And if you are in hurry but still have 15 20 days then withdraw and apply from a different embassy. Also the embassy or the immigration office in belgium is not very helpful. So there is no point in calling them over and over again. But the belgium office does reply to emails in French swiftly. I will reply to this thread as soon as I get a reply from them. Hopefully end of this week. I Hope everyone's applications get sorted soon. Thanks

Dear Friends, today i found new status, it was written in dutch but mentioned that it's in process . real status can be checked at the url infovisa.ibz.be but you must have the file number to check the status.

Seems we both are going for tomorrowland . Today I got a new status on https://dofi.ibz.be/sites/dvzoe/EN/A...plication.aspx

It' says my file was received on 19th of May and they have started processing it on 7th of July. But status is still under process. Earlier it dint show my file at all. So there has been some movement. As Ms india said you need your visa file no to check. Which you can get from VSF. Now I had asked a family friend to be my guarantor in belgium and he put in a letter on my behalf on the 7th of July. I'm not sure if that's what has worked for me or it's my emails. I suggest do not withdraw your application. Keep sending them emails and call belgium help line no and ask the operator to send them a reminder. I'll update you once I get more info.

That is correct, even I am planning to go for tomorrowland. I have a question, you said it says that your visa started processing on July 7th, when i read my status on the site it says processing however does not mention any date. Are you sure it says that its started processing on july 7th or is it that you have applied for visa from july 7th, because the heading which says Date of registration for which visa applied - July 1st .
