Transit Visa Spain

I am from Maldives and I am traveling to Madrid on 22 april 2013. I have got Schengen visa for single entry and it expires on 10 may 2013. However I am planning to go USA from Madrid and return back to Madrid and continue my journey back Maldives. (i have a valid USA M1 visa too)

My question is, do I need to have a transit visa when I am in transit in Madrid from USA though I am not going to stay or go into Madrid, I have the onward flight tickets to Maldives too.
