My husband and i will be landing in UK (Manchester) next week. We have 3 year ICT Tier2 visa. We want to visit as many Schengen countries as possible in the first year itself. Few questions regarding the same:
1. We plan to cover 1 country per every month - start with Holland/Netherlands in May (tulip gardens close on 20th May - so want to visit it b4 that). Next could be Spain. Next month could be France etc. So in such a case, where do i apply for Schengen visa? Is it Holland or the place where i will stay the max no of days?
2. The France embassy site says "France MUST be the main destination of the "initial trip" taken on the visa. 'Main Destination' is defined as the most time (nights) spent in a particular country on that initial round trip" - so what does initial round trip mean? In our case, where we wish to do 1 country in 1 month - what does it mean?
3. I plan to keep all documents ready and go and apply for schengen visa as soon as i land in UK. is that allowed? Or am i required to stay X no. of days in UK before applying?
4. France embassy site says "Travel insurance cover including repatriation, the cover must exceed £30,000." - is it really so much? how do i know how much insurance to take?
