I will be traveling from the US to my home country (India) in 2 months due to expired H1B and pending PERM. I would like to vacation in Europe for 2 weeks before returning back to my home country. As of now, US is my country of residence. In order to apply for Schengen visa, most of the countries in Schengen region require H1B visa valid for at least 3 months from the departure date from Schengen region. Did anyone in a situation similar to mine able to obtain Schengen visa? If so, which country consulate? Any personal experiences related to Schengen visa would be helpful. Thanks!
