  • Multiple entry Schengen visa

Hi everyone, hope you all well. I have a question, hopefully someone can answer. I have a multiple entry visa for the Netherlands. I obtained the visa on the 17/10/13 and it's valid for 1 year. I haven't been to Netherlands yet but planning on going at the end of March 2014. My questions is, is there a time frame from the time your visa is issued to enter the Schengen state? I don't wanna get to immigration and they tell me that I cant enter cause I was supposed to enter within the first 6 months of obtaining the visa or something like that.

    Your feedback is most welcomed.

    Thanks

Nope. Unless they've written something on your visa, you can use it any time during its validity.

      Understand the difficulty!

I, too am trying to learn if I need the multiple entry Schwengen visa. Unfortunately, a nice gentleman at the French Consulate in Chicago (I am in Ohio, and this catchment area) explained there is one person answering 10 lines for visa questions, and I cannot reach him.

My daughter and family are in France for 3 years for work; I am going in August to stay for 3 months, traveling around quite a bit --- Aug. 6 to Nov. 14. I will be in Italy first, arriving in France Aug. 20; but will be going to Ireland in September for a week. Does anyone know if I will need a visa for being in Schwengen countries for more than 3 months?

Plus, I may be going back to France in May 2015 for another month.....does this mean multiple-entry visa?

      I appreciate all guidance!
