  • Schengen question

Hi, im new to the forums and just have a few questions about the Schengen visa.
My husband lives in Canada and I live in Ukraine. We are planning to go to Europe in November, and I need a Schengen visa. Our plan is fly with Polish airlines to Paris from Kiev (connecting flight in Warsaw). I was told a Polish tourist schengen visa is the easier to get for Ukrainians so I will apply for this visa.
We want to fly same day from Kiev to Warsaw then to Paris. With a 4 hour connecting flight in Warsaw.
Now my question is will my visa be validated on a connecting fight? Or do I need to exit the airport in Warsaw and re enter it again?
It will not be a problem for my husband and I to spend a day in Warsaw, but I would rather not because we want to go to Paris.

    Thanks
    Maryana

    Schengen question

If your country of citizenship is the Ukraine, The Schengen countries require you to obtain a transit visa. The transit visa will allow you to stay in the transit area of the airport while waiting for your connecting flight.

The airport transit visa is issued by the consulate of the country where the transit airport is located.

This is my opinion and not legal advice. Use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

I am applying for tourist schengen visa. The way i read it online is if i get a Polish visa, Poland needs to be the first country i arrive in.
So my question is can i arrive and have my visa stamped my passport control and leave the same day on another flight or do i need to stay a day or 2 in Poland?
It is my understanding that once my visa is stamped in customs, i can travel to any schengen country.

I just want to know if i can arrive in Poland, pass customs and validate my schengen tourist visa and then go on to my next flight. Or if i need to stay in poland a few days.
