Hello!
I'm Indian, and have been living in France since October 2013, with a scientific visa. I had two successive one year contracts in France, without any gap. My current contract ends without renewal on September 30, 2015, the same day my carte sejour/visa expires also. I'm definitely looking for a job in and outside France. I've been told that I'm eligible for pôle d'emploi or unemployment benefits, since I've two long term contracts in France.
1) Is this true? So, can I apply for unemployment benefits?
2) Can I use the fact that I'm eligible for unemployment benefits as a reason to apply for my extension of caret sejour?
3) Did anyone here have same/similar situation as mine? Would like to share how did (s)he act?
