Canadian overstayed in Germany: Need Information
Hello,
I am a Canadian and my husband is German. My husband lives in Germany and I moved to live with him to Germany a bit over 3 months ago. I am allowed to stay in Germany for 90 days and I was supposed to apply for visa during that 90 day period, but unfortunately for me alot of things happened during these 3 months and I didn't apply for the visa. Now I have overstayed for about 3 weeks. The German embassy has told me that I have to go back to Canada within a 1 month period and that I could return back to Germany in 3 months to fix this mess.
But it is not easy as they tell me. I know I messed it up big time, but I have no place to go in Canada. I moved with all my belonging to Germany and my home is in Germany.
Is there anything I can do about this at this point without having to go to Canada? Any advice is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me. Thank you.
