Having schengen visa but not traveling

I am planning to visit France, Swiss & Italy with my family in Jan End for tourism (From Bangalore, India).
I had applied Schengen Visa for myself, my wife & my son (4 yrs). I got the passports with stamped visa today.

Now, I do not want to take my son as my family doctor has advised not to take him along as it will be very cold there in France, Swiss & Italy.
We are planning to leave him behind. My parents will take care of him. I am planning to cancel my son's flight/EuroRail tickets.

Please let me know if my wife and me will face any issues in the immigration for not taking our son.
