Where to submit Schengen visa application. India or USA.. Please help

I have Indian passport and currently residing in US with H1B.
I am.planning to visit India for 2 weeks then i have to travel to France from india.
Where should I apply for schengen tourist visa ??
In India or in US ?

It is always suggested to apply from country of your main stay. In your case, it will be USA.
