Spanish Schengen from a consulate in another jurisdiction - Toronto/Montreal/Ottawa

Hi,

I'm required to travel to Spain for work but am unable to find an appointment in the consulate of my jurisdiction (Toronto) for the next four months. However, can find appointments in neighbouring consulates (Montreal/Ottawa).

Anyone with experience of applying to another consulate like this? Do they accept/ consider applications?

Also, anyone with experience of a walk-in in the Spanish consulate in Toronto?

Need to know ASAP. Any help would be appreciated.
