  • Paris- Transit Visa

Hello, I have a particular situation I would like to dicuss and have your input:

Situation- I am travelling to Delhi VIA Paris (2hr stop in Paris and change of planes- Combination of American Airlines and Air France). My return flight is direclty from Delhi to Chicago and I dont have to stop anywhere.

Dilemma- Do I need a French Transit Visa for my onward journey?

Additional Info- I came to the United States on a student visa and the visa on my passport has expired. I got married to a US citizen and I am currently in the adjustmet status (I 485 is being processed). I have a work permit and the advance parole document which will allow me back into the United States.

Conflicting Info- I called the French embassy and they told me that I would need a French transit visa even though I am in the airport for 2 hrs. On the other hand I called American Airlines and they tell me that I dont need a transit visa since my onward journey is to my home county (India) and I have a valid Indian passport.

Please advice(Do I need a a transit visa) & thank you for your help in advance.

    Regards

    Sai

Yes, you require transit visa because you don't have valid visa in your passport.
