Europe transit visa

Hi,
I have the following question.
I have H1-B visa which is valid till May 2008. I am planning to visit India in January, 2008 and come back. When I went to book my ticket through an agent, they said I need a transit visa since I wont be having valid 6 months of stay on my Visa if I go in January. Moreover, I need both ways transit visa. As I understand from your site, I do not need transit visa as long as I have valid US visa.
Is it correct? I could not find any one better to ask this question..!! Please Help.

Generally, as long as you have valid unexpired visa stamp on the date of travel, you don't need transit visa.
