Myself and my wife are planning to visit USA in February for six months. We are thinking of taking Air France flights. On the way back in August 2008 we want to stopover for six or seven days visiting Paris and Rome.
Please be kind enough to let us know the following:
Can we take visas in February for the short stay in August, ie 6 months in advance.

Can we take Italian visa from Bangalore , though our entry and exit point will be Paris.This is to avoid going to Mumbai for the French visa as there is no facility in bangalore for French visa.

Can the French visa be taken at San Francisco, as we will be staying there for six months.
