Transit visa for Switzerland?

Hello,
I came across this link which says that transit visa is not required for switzerland even if you don't have a valid US visa stamp...

I heard from a friend that the swiss consulate says that transit visa is required..
even with AP as they don't recognize AP..

This is the link they point to:

which says for Indian nationals either you must have a valid visa or green card.. and according to them it doesnt say AP is allowed..

Does anyone have any info on this?

Also in case transit visa is reqd.. is it mainly needed in Ind to US direction or even from US to India?? since we'll have Indian passport.. in this case..

Please let me know.

On that Swiss web page, look at
d) they possess the travel documents required for entry into the country of destination;

If you are going from US to India, you have Indian passport.
If you are going from India to US, you have AP. AP is a valid travel document to enter the US.

Therefore, you don't require transit visa.

But if you read the page carefully..
The part d) that you mentioned is given in iten no I)
and it says I Subject to Items II and III below

So you need to satisfy II and III as well
II is satisfied because i have a valid passport

See Item III below) It needs Indian nationals to have US visa stamp or green card..
III is not satified with only AP...

So just based on this webpage, only AP is not sufficient to avoid transit visa..
Not sure if the authorities there consider AP..

any thoughts?

III Nationals of Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Iran, the Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka and Turkey will only be granted the visa exemption pursuant to Item I above if

a) they are holders of a recognised and valid diplomatic, service or special passport, or
b) they are holders of a recognised and valid ordinary national passport and a valid visa or a valid residence document issued by Andorra, Canada, the United States of America, Monaco, San Marino or a member state of the European Union (EU) or the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). If the visa was only granted for one entry, the foreign nationals will be exempted from the obligation to hold a transit visa for Switzerland for their return flight (yet only during the period of validity of that visa) although they have already made use of the visa for the outward journey.
