France permit and visa

I am working in Wipro Technologies. I like to know few details about France work permit and visa.

• I have got long term work permit and visa for France. I just got married. I have not yet traveled to France. Can I apply for dependant permit now? If so, what are the requirements and documents needed? How long will it take to get the dependant permit? Can I apply for tourist visa (instead of dependant visa) for my wife? Do we need a permit for that? What are the documents needed? What is the visa validity period?
• If the tourist visa is for short term, then can I apply for dependant permit and visa during this period (she will be with me in France with tourist visa)?

I am traveling to France within 2-3 weeks. I like to know the best possible way to take my wife along with me.
