Airport Transit Visa

Dear Sir/Madam

Do i need a Airport transit visa?

Now I am working in Manchester in IGS visa - international gratuate Scheme (kind of working visa), I would like to visit my birth country India on May from 03/05/08 to 01/06/08. I got the tickets in Air France from Manchester to India via Paris. Transit time is not more than 5.30 hrs, I dont want to go out of Air port.

Do i need a French Airport transit visa? please advice ASAP.

Thanks for your immediate reply. So I am not going to apply for transit visa. Is there any extra charge over the transit visa fee in case the immigration people in Paris want me to get the visa stamped at the airport?
