Does anyone know how to be approved for a Schengen Visa for work or marriage if 19 years ago they have a US felony conviction resulting in prison time? The law of the country the person is going to would have wiped his record clean after 8 years, but he's being told he may have a problem trying to go from US to Schengen state.
The consulate in question only wants a background report for the last 10 years from the state he resides, but he can not provide that information - its all or nothing. **Not trying to lie here, he just doesn't know what he should do.
Any help is appreciated.
