    A Schengen visa Problem

    I am a resident in Ireland. Also I am qualified to go to Switzerland. Now I have a single entry Schengen visa. Could anybody tell me if I go to Switzerland from Italy then could I leave Switzerland and go to France? Namely, does my single entry visa exhausted when I come into Switzerland from one Schengen country thus I cannot go to another Schengen country?
