Passport Magnetic Strip Inquiry

I will be travelling with my daughter who holds a valid American Passport and will be transiting through the United Kingdom to go to Lebanon. I am worried and concerned that I will not be allowed into the transit airport because I hold an old passport that will expire in the 2011. My passport is Saudi-Arabian but it does not have the magnetic strip. Will I still be allowed to enter the UK? I also possess a greencard that expires in 2017.
