I am travelling from the US to Netherlands to India in Sep. I am planning to stay in Netherlands for 5 days during the interim. Also, my h1b visa stamp has expired; however, my approval petition is valid till Sep 2011 and I am going to get my visa stamped/renewed in India.
1) i am guessing i need the transit visa for this. Is this the same as a schengen visa?
2) Will i have a problem getting the visa since my h1b visa has expired? If yes, is there any way around it?
