I am an Indian student in Switzerland and my residence permit expires on the 30 of September. I have just gotten confirmation of admission into a Spanish University. The course starts on the 28th of this month.
Now if I apply at the Spanish embassy in Switzerland for the visa, it will take a minimum of one month to get it processed.
Is there any way I could just go to Spain and commence the studies and apply through a lawyer from there. I have heard that once you have applied for the visa, you are ok till you hear an answer about the visa.
Or if I could apply at the Spanish embassy in Switzerland and stay there till I get an answer. But it says clearly in their rules that one's Schengan visa should be valid at least 6 months after the application.
Could someone please help me? I would greatly appreciate your advice.
