Planning on renting a car

Hi,

I have booked a ticket to go to France and than rent a car (or in case its too expensive, take other means of transport) to go to spain and stay there for a night and come back to england from Barcelona.

I am just wondering if its important to book the car in advance and send proof of booking with my application of can I just attach a letter with the application and explain that I will rent a car while i'm there.

Though it is an old thread but yes it becomes quite convenient for you if one books car or other vehicle for rent in advance only.
