My daughter is currently on an exchange program in Switzerland. She is holding a Schengen Visa until 6 June 2010 when her school terms end. She plans to travel in Europe after that, but accordingly she has to leave Switzerland and cannot travel to any of the 25 schengen countries when the visa expires, otherwise she will be considered an 'illegal immigrant'.
If she can get an extension for her visa in Switzerland, is she confined to travelling in Switzerland only or can she travel out of Switzerland? Where can she get help to extend the Schengen Visa which allow her entry to the schengen countries?
Or, if she flies to a non-schengen country, say UK, can she then goes to a schengen country as a tourist instead?
Truely appreciate if somone could help. Thank you.
