  • Schengen visa including Switzerland

    Hello,

I am a Thai citizen (Thai passport holder), and I want to make sure if Switzerland is currently part of Schengen visas or not. I look at some websites, some informations are contradict!

After my South America trip, I will be travelling around Europe. The first port of Entry will be Switzerland by plane and I will be there for the longest stays apart other Schengen countries where I will be travelling next by rails or by cars (France, Austria, Italy, Germany and Chez Republic). If Switzerland is part of Schengen visa, does it mean I have to apply for my Schengen visa (multiple entry) with Switzerland embassy? Do I have to write the letter stating my European trip/itineraries wholly starting the date of arrival and the date of departure in/from Europe along with my visa application?

I also have to bring some medications such as Folic Acid (pre-pregnancy), anti-malaria, paracetamol, etc (travel medicine kit) as well. My concerns are I am not sure if the Schengen Customs/Immigrations (by rail/car/plane) allows me to bring those without showing the medical certificate or not even though they are all in English labels. I heard that if travelling in some Schengen countries by car might need the medical certificate while by plane is not required. As you see my travels listed above, do Schengen countries require me to bring the medical certificate stating all those medicines by GP?

Also, are there any health safety rules in Schengen countries require traveller coming from South America should vaccinate/show any medical certificate (I have already obtained travel insurance) in order to pass the custom and to enter to the countries?

    I highly appreciate your helps.
