Can I apply for Schengen Visa at the Airport?

Dear Sir / Madam,

I have one question and you may help me. I am an Iranian citizen who have USA Green Card.

For Schengen Visa Am I supposed to apply in my country(Iran) for Schengen Visa? Or is it possible to go to a European Country like France and then, at their airport apply for Shengen visa?

Please let me have your opinion.

You can not apply at the airport. You will have to apply in your country of
residence.
